Dependent on the ranch we are staying on we may have a field lunch or return to base mid day. Many of our hunts are split, chasing Elegante in the morning and Mearns in the afternoon.
We like to be back to our accommodations by 4pm.

About The Hunt
These hunts are with the Western Prairie Outfitters team somewhere on the wild prairies of Montana. We will get moving around 6:30 loading dogs and gear. Departing for the day loaded with lunches and a thermos of coffee. Hunting spots could be 30-60min away. Mid-day, we’ll break for a tailgate lunch. We’ll resume hunting after lunch until around 4pm if weather permits.

$4,500 for a 3-day hunt (includes accommodations).

About The Hunt
These hunts are operated by Dave Brown (Montana Guide #15117) in Saco, Montana and run through Western Prairie Outfitters (MT #54011). Dave and his guide crew have been guiding wild bird hunts in the Saco area since 2022, and have years of experience and great dogs. Dave and his team offer authentic upland bird hunts on diverse and expansive terrain in Northeastern Montana.
